The Abbey was built in 1658 by Colonel Benjamin Berringer with it’s original boundaries still intact. The plantation encompasses over 400 acres of rolling Sugar Cane fields, tropical gullies, Mahogany forests and formal gardens set in towering Cabbage Palms, the great house is a posing structure.
A Jacobean Mansion featuring elegant curvilinear gables and ornamental detail including four cornerstone chimneys and two fireplaces in two of the upstairs bedrooms.
Their produce these days is Rum, Sugar and Molasses leaning towards the Rum which is very good quality if I may comment.
