This is a Landscape which is a fictional painting pointing to the trees in relationship to the river. The Landscape slopes away from the river with heavy trees in the distance near the river.
The dark hut or workers shed is a workshop for repairs to fencing and general maintenance of the area. I think the chimney may need a clean or use of a different fuel to reduce the smoke.
The painting was started because of the Water Vole which is becoming a species that may be in danger. I have ringed the Water Vole which do no harm to anyone however we may have Mr Owl circling for his tea, I wonder if WV is on the menu.
The Beaver is working hard as usual and is heading towards a tree stump which has fallen across the river. The river may be too fast for him; We shall see!
The jets of the sky Wood Pigeons are swerving in and out of the trees looking for a place to feed and roost, these are the top guns of the wild.
Lastly we have a duck which may or may not enter the water, he is thinking hard about this as the river is cold and uninviting. Will he or won’t he?
